Meet Rose
I was very blessed and lucky to grow up with horses. My mother was an instructor and trainer so my sister and I were bound to follow in her footsteps.
Although my mother adored and showed mostly in Eventing she allowed both of us to try a variety of disciplines growing up. I myself showed in everything from 4-H, Open Shows, Western, Games, Dressage, Trail to Saddleseat before exploring the world of Jumping and Eventing.
My personal passion lies in watching horses and riders succeed both in and out of the show ring. Ground work and lunging are staples in my program for everyone and every horse of all ages. If you want to develop a deeper connection with horses then you have come to the right place.
Although most of the horses and riders of WIREC focus on the disciplines of Dressage, Western Dressage and Eventing; cross training is a huge part of the program. Horses and riders are encouraged to explore new areas both inside and outside of the ring. Weekly workouts for the horses can include everything from hill work / cardio building, flat work, pole work and "goofing off" by teaching them to neck rein and ride in a halter or neck rope.
Lessons vary from rider to rider as they are tailored to each individual. Although the "theme" of the week may be the same for many of the riders, the way the lesson is taught varies greatly. I try to build and strengthen riders mentally and physically while encouraging their bond with their horse.
